Good truck
By DonB | on Wednesday, July 17, 2024
I have only one complaint about this truck in that it has a wide turning radius. Other than this I think it’s a better truck than Toyota. Quieter, more powerful and has a better ride.… - 5.0
Great features. SL is loaded !
By Smokepole | on Monday, March 24, 2025
I researched lots of trucks. The reliability was not good and prices were through the roof ! Dependability is my first and biggest requirement. Nissan Frontier fits the best in reliability department. Then come the bells and whistles. The SL has all the comfort and luxury features and will impress you.… - 2.0
Its not good, expected better
By Anthony J | on Sunday, August 27, 2023
I ran my 2011 Nissan Frontier SV king cab 6 speed manual 4x4 to over 200k miles until it finally starting giving me issues. Figured my good luck w/ the Frontier would last into the 2022 model year. I was mistaken. In no particular order, my disappointments are; - Sketchy technology. Forward camera throws an error when driving into the sun. Front radar will chime at what it thinks is an obstruction when there is nothing there. A couple recalls to fix brake stop switch and a transmission issue as well. - While the truck is powerful, its woefully slow. The 9 speed tranny does everything in its power to get to the 9th gear as quick as possible making it terribly unresponsive in city traffic. I spend most of my drive just manually shifting it. But, moving from one gear to the next is more like a suggestion to the truck rather than a command. If it doesn't think it needs to shift, it won't. - Lately it has decided to keep itself locked even after pushing the fob unlock. Or, it gets stuck somewhere in between lock and unlock and wont release the door. Climbing in thru the passenger side and operating driver door from there has fixed it up to now. - There are areas of the body, especially around the engine bay where there is little to no paint. - The intelligent cruise control is 'nervous' to say the least. I can set it at highway speeds and it will work correctly, but, introduce a slight hill into the mix where the speed reduces by just a couple MPH and the system will jam the gas trying to get it back up to speed. Only to be followed by a braking action to reduce it. Even using the system as a normal CC has the same issue. This was a new redesign and it shows. Just unhappy and I probably should have done more research before buying. Looking to trade it in on a mid-size truck w/ a manual tranny. Of which I find there are just two left.…
